Work has begun on a near $11 million Route 6 bridge replacement project. New York State Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez announced that construction has begun on a $10.9 million project in Putnam County to replace the bridge over the Metro-North Railroad’s Harlem Line in Brewster and Southeast. The Lord & Taylor store in the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack will close its doors after the holiday season, making it the second large retailer to exit the shopping mecca.
