All lanes on the southbound parkway in Hastings-on-Hudson have reopened following work by the New York State Department of Transportation, Westchester County Police announced early Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 a.m. The roadway had been closed since Sunday evening, Sept. 7, after part of it collapsed near Farragut Parkway in Hastings-on-Hudson, as Daily Voice previously reported.  DOT officials said the damage was caused by heavy rain that …

Renovated Train Station Includes New Elevator, Heated Seating Area In Westchester After decades of requests from commuters and town officials, an all-new elevator and other renovations have been made to a well-traveled train station in Westchester.  The renovations have been made by the MTA to the Hartsdale Train Station, Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner announced on Monday, Dec. 25. Busy Highway Exit In Westchester Closes For Paving Busy Highway Exit In Westchester Closes For Paving
Busy Highway Exit In Westchester Closes For Paving An exit ramp on a much-used Westchester highway will close soon to allow for roadwork.  The I-287 westbound ramp to Exit 2 ((State Route 9A) in Elmsford will close on Friday, Oct. 21, at 6 a.m., and reopen on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 a.m., according to the New York Department of Transportation.  The closure is to allow for roadway paving work to be completed.  Commuters will be able to take a detour using Exit 1 (Route 119) to Route 9A as an alternate route, officials said.
