A 29-year-old man who was involved in armed robberies in Westchester is facing a minimum of 100 years in prison after being found guilty of fatally carjacking a pair of livery cab drivers. Tyrone “Man Man” Felder of the Bronx has been found guilty of participating in two armed robberies in Yonkers and for killing cab drivers Maodo Kane and Aboubacar Bah in the Bronx in 2014. Hudson Valley Stolen Car Suspect Nabbed With Help Of 'Pinging' Cell Phone
A man driving a car stolen in the Hudson Valley was nabbed in Connecticut with the help of a cell phone left inside the vehicle state police were able to "ping" for its location. Connecticut State Poice were notified around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday about a 2011 Nissan Sentra that was stolen during a carjacking in Orange County, and may be heading for the area, according to Connecticut State Police. Pair Charged With Carjacking, Pistol-Whipping Driver In Westchester
Two men are facing life in prison for allegedly pistol-whipping a driver, firing shots toward him and attempting to carjack him in Westchester. Chester Brown and Travis Sinclair were charged in federal court in White Plains on Wednesday, for the carjacking, in which they allegedly attacked the driver and fired shots at him when he attempted to run away. A fellow member of a gang from Rockland was sentenced Wednesday to 65 months in federal prison for his role in carjacking, kidnapping and leaving a local cab driver for dead in Orange County after he and four others robbed a North Jersey bar. A teenager will spend three decades behind bars for his role in the carjacking death of a 72-year-old Westchester man who was visiting family in Missouri. St. Louis County resident Richard Donaldson, 17, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in the death of Pound Ridge resident Kenneth Spalter, who was shot in the throat on Feb. 10 last year, according to multiple media reports. Police: Wappingers Falls Man Attempted To Rob Customers, Carjack Vehicles
A Dutchess County man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly ingesting drugs, forcibly stealing from a CVS customer and attempting to carjack vehicles from the parking lot, state police said. Wappingers Falls resident Anthony Abbot, 34, was apprehended by state police troopers in Marlborough after allegedly causing a scene at the CVS Pharmacy on Riverview Drive last week.
