Westchester Will Get $800K In Economic Development Grants The New York State Regional Economic Development Council has officially awarded Westchester County with almost $800,000 in grants to be used primarily for three major projects: Restoration of the Playland Carousel Updating the Bronx River Watershed Management Plan Westchester-Putnam Workforce Development Board The grants will allocate $450,000 to the restoration of the Playland Carousel, which was completed in 1928 and damaged in a fire in the summer of 2017.
