Family Displaced, Pets Saved, After House Fire Breaks Out In Area A family of four was displaced in Dutchess County when a fire broke out in the basement of a Red Hook home. Firefighters were dispatched to an Aspinwall Road home shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, when a family made an emergency call. Two adults - the children were at school - were able to get out of the house safely with their dogs and a pet snake, Red Hook Fire Company spokesman Jeff Levine said. The fire was knocked down within 15 minutes, but the basement sustained fire damage and parts of the home suffered smoke damage, leaving the home inhabitable. The American Red Cross is a…
