PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Peekskill native Derek Dennis is one of hundreds of players who might hear his name called during the NFL Draft on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Dennis went to Peekskill High School for one year before transferring to Trinity-Pawling High School. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound offensive lineman helped take the Temple Owls to a 9-4 record this past season, including a 37-15 victory over Wyoming in the New Mexico Bowl. In one four-game stretch during the season, Dennis and the rest of the line did not allow a sack.
Dennis graduated from Temple University in August with a bachelors degree in journalism.
