Local Teams Advance At Section 1 Dual-Meet Wrestling Championships

MONTROSE, N.Y. - High school wrestling teams from Pearl River, Nanuet, Croton and Hendrick Hudson all competed Thursday at the Section 1 Dual-Meet Championships at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose.

In the D2, Small Schools category, Pearl River was the winner of the day, winning the quad and advancing to next Thursday's championship round, which will be at Pearl River HS, since the Pirates were the top seed.

In Thursday's round at Hen Hud, Pearl River beat Nanuet (69-12) and Croton. Hen Hud lost to Nanuet (45-39), and beat Croton (66-18).
