New Methadone Clinic Could Open In Peekskill Next Year

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- State officials have said a request for proposal to open a methadone clinic in Peekskill was submitted in August and that the new clinic could be open as early as next year, according to LoHud.com.

A spokeswoman for the state Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services said the clinic would serve about 235 patients and would help ease the burden in Putnam County, which has no clinics of its own, LoHud.com reported.
