A 21-year-old Dutchess County woman wanted for a probation violation in Georgia is facing eight more felonies after being busted with several counterfeit credit card and driver’s licenses during a stop on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls on Monday afternoon, state police said.

New York State Police troopers stopped Poughkeepsie resident Jayana Stalley at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Monday, March 19, after she committed a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9.

While interviewing Stalley, troopers discovered that she was wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia for a probation violation regarding a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Further investigation into Stalley revealed that she was in possession of multiple counterfeit credit cards and licensees.

Stalley was arrested and charged with eight counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, all felonies. She was also arrested for being a Fugitive of Justice.

Following arraignment, Stalley was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail. She is due back in Wappingers Falls Court on Tuesday afternoon to answer the charges.
