Peekskill Woman Arrested On Driving With Suspended License Charge

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a Peekskill resident for driving without a valid license.

A patrol officer observed a gray Subaru traveling at a high rate of speed on Underhill Avenue on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 9:40 a.m., police report.

The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was identified as Toni M. Alfonsin, 37, according to police.

A computer check at the scene revealed that Alfonsin’s New York state driver’s license was suspended, officials report.

Alfonsin was arrested and taken to police headquarters, according to police.

She was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation second degree, an unclassified misdemeanor; she was also charged with speed in zone, a traffic violation, police report.

After processing, Alfonsin was issued a traffic summons on the charges and  released on $100 bail, according to the police report.

She is scheduled to answer the charges in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, Feb. 23, according to police.
