PEEKSKILL, N.Y. City police have announced two separate arrests for the alleged sale of crack cocaine in the past week.
Myron Wagner, 18, of Peekskill, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. June 26 and charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, on North Broad Street by Detectives Anthony Malfitano and Joe McGann.
Wagner was taken into custody following a six-month undercover investigation conducted jointly between Peekskill police narcotics unit and the New York State Police. During the investigation, Wagner sold crack cocaine to an undercover police officer, police said. Wagner was held for arraignment in city court without bail.
Also arrested was Phillip Manwaring, 28, of Croton, who was arrested at 2:20 p.m. June 27 and charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, at the Westchester County Jail by Detective Joe McGann.
Manwaring, who already was being held at the Westchester County Jail for unrelated charges, was charged following a 10-month investigation into the sale of crack cocaine. During the investigation, which was conducted jointly with the New York State Police, Manwaring sold crack to an undercover police officer, police said. He was returned to the Westchester County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
Other arrests reported by the Peekskill police for the past week:
- Brian Bobolia, 23, of Cortlandt Manor, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, on Park Street by Police Officer Chatoya Woodland. Bobolia was charged following a traffic stop, during which he was found to be in possession of several baggies of heroin, police said. He was held for arraignment in city court.
