Ossining, Briarcliff and Croton Police participated in a mock shooting drill Thursday at Anne M. Dorner Middle School in Ossining. Officers responded and went through the simulation after receiving a fake 911 call.
"Protection of our students is one of our highest priorities," the Ossining Police Department said. "We're grateful for the opportunity to train with neighboring departments in a realistic setting."
The drill included live role players shooting paintball style projectiles to create force-on-force scenarios, the Ossining Police Department said.
"It's the call we hope to never get, but one for which we will be prepared," the Ossining Police Department said.
