The incident took place around 8 p.m. Saturday at 8 Charles St., where a group of co-workers were gathered for a barbecue, said Lt. John White.

During the party, one of the attendees, Juan Pablo Felipe, 31, of Peekskill went inside the home to get something and while he was gone his phone rang and one of the other partygoers answered it, White said.

Felipe became angry and pulled out a knife and tried to stab several people, who in turn jumped on Felipe to try and subdue him, White added.

During the struggle, Felipe was stabbed with his own knife, he said.

Peekskill police broke up the fight, and Felipe was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, White said.

Detectives interviewed partygoers, and all of the stories match about what took place, White added.

"Alcohol was definitely a factor in the event," he said.

No charges have been filed and no one was arrested.
