Maryann 'Midge' Miller, 65, Peekskill Volunteer

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Maryann "Midge" Miller, a 33-year resident of Peekskill, died July 4. She was 65. 

Miller was born July 18, 1946, in Queens, N.Y. In Peekskill, she served on the Home Owners Association Board of Chapel Hill Estates and volunteered for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Peekskill Republican Party. She also served as a Eucharistic minister at Church of the Holy Spirit. 

She was known as "Aunt Midge" to neighborhood children. She “lived for the holidays,” her family said, especially Halloween and Christmas. She was an artist with a great appreciation for nature, which inspired much of her artwork. 

Miller is survived by her husband, Jerry Miller, of Peekskill; and a daughter, Danielle (Jeffrey) Miller-Blaske, of Atlanta. 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Holy Spirit in Cortlandt Manor. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home in Peekskill. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit Building Foundation.
