Leona Gilmore Minogue, 87, Librarian, Formerly Of Peekskill

HIGHLAND LAKE, N.Y. - Leona Gilmore Minogue, of Highland Lake, formerly of Peekskill, died March 24. She was 87.

Minogue was born May 27, 1925, in Holyoke, Mass., to Simeon and Dora Blanchette. She worked for many years as a librarian at the Montrose Library.

Minogue is survived by children, Nancy Gilmore of Farmington Hills, Mich., Barbara Davis of Rochester N.Y., James F. (Cheryl) Gilmore Jr. of Buchanan, N.Y., Terence S.(Cheryl) Gilmore of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. and MaryLou (Alan) Hall of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren;  three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Gilmore; brother, Laurent Blanchette; and husbands, James F. Gilmore Sr. and Edward Minogue.

Calling hours are Friday March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday March 30, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Cortlandt Funeral Home in Verplanck, N.Y. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
