CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. - George Iverson Olson Jr, a lifelong resident of the Peekskill-Cortlandt Manor area, died March 14. He was 77.
Olson owned and operated the Beach Laundromat in Peekskill for 39 years. He was a member of the Cortlandt Hook & Ladder in Peekskill.
Olson is survived by his sons, Scott Olson and Todd Olson; daughter, Susan Derrick; companion Jenny Saponara; and four grandchildren.
Calling hours are Monday, March 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, with a Celebration of Life offered at 7:30 pm. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, 1033 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor.
