PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Claire M. Finnigan of Peekskill, died on Jan. 3, 2015. She was 91 years old.
Claire was an educator and librarian for forty-five years in the Peekskill City School District. She was born on Sept. 3, 1923, in Putnam Valley to William E. and Rose Anne Crowell Finnigan. She attended Geneseo College where she received her master's degree in Education. She was a member of the many organizations, including Delta Kappa Gamma and New York State United Teachers.
She is survived by two nieces, Anne E. and Stephanie W. and two nephews, Stephen and William, III. She was predeceased by her brother, William and his wife, Anne Finnigan.
Visitation is Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home in Peekskill, N.Y. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Assumption Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
