The This Is Me Foundation was created to raise awareness about alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. The foundation was started in 2012 by sisters Lauren and Caitlin Bradley. Scholarships are awarded to local high school seniors enrolled in college who have displayed leadership skills while having faced adversity of any kind or helped others through adversity.
This year’s event has already exceeded the amount raised last year by more than $1,000. More information is available on the event website.
