Peekskill Woman Charged With Stealing From Cortlandt Town Center Store

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A Peekskill woman was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3 by New York State Police for stealing money from the Barnes & Noble store she worked at in the Cortlandt Town Center, State Police said. 

Danica Curran of Peekskill was arrested for stealing approximately $300 from the Barnes and Noble she worked at on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Danica Curran, 28, was taking items off of the shelves and processing fraudulent returns and turning the credit into gift cards that she kept, state police said. 

Curran was processing the returns for nearly two months and stole approximately $300 worth of gift cards, according to police. 

Curran was arrested and charged with one count of Falsifying Business Records and is due in Town of Cortlandt Justice Court on Friday, Oct. 11, state police said.
