Peekskill Man Found Upstate With 32 Grams of Coke

BETHLEHEM, NY -- A Peekskill man was arrested early Wednesday morning after being found in possession of a large quantity of cocaine following a traffic stop.

New York State Police from the Albany barracks arrested Jessie D. Dabbs, 45, of Peekskill for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and traffic violations.

According to troopers, Dabbs was traveling north on the New York State Thruway in the town of Bethlehem in a 1993 Honda Accord just after midnight when he was stopped for a traffic violation. The trooper who made the violation found the inspection sticker in the window of the vehicle was a forgery, and further investigation revealed Dabbs was in possession of approximately 32 grams of cocaine.

Dabbs was arraigned in the Bethlehem town court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility on $15,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond, pending further court action.
