Peekskill German Shepherd Missing Since Tuesday

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A two-and-a-half year old female German Shepherd has been missing since Tuesday, Feb. 16 from her home on Welcher Avenue in Peekskill, according to a family member.

She is black and tan and weight 95 to 100 pounds. Bear is "extremely friendly" and will answer to her name and "go up to strangers without fear."

Since Tuesday, Bear has been seen on Route 9 near her home and Wood Street in Peekskill; also on John Walsh Boulevard in Buchanan.

Anyone with information is asked to call (845)490-1248.

Bear's owners have contacted police and animal shelter but still had no leads Thursday afternoon, they say.
