No Major Injuries in A.M. Peekskill Bus Collision

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Two people were taken to an area hospital for evaluation following a minor accident on Main Street Friday morning.

There were no serious injuries in the crash, which happened near the intersection of North Division Street at approximately 8:35 a.m., according to Peekskill Police Spokesperson Sgt. Ray Henderlong.

"A small school bus was rear-ended by a vehicle and a 4-year-old student and a bus monitor were taken to Hudson Valley Hospital Center for precautionary reasons," Henderlong said.

Peekskill Fire and Police department members joined members of the Peekskill Ambulance Corp. at the scene. The bus, which was owned by Beverly Hills Limo and Corp. of Yonkers, was likely taking the student to an area preschool, Henderlong said.
