PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - A Buchanan man was sentenced to six years in prison after a being convicted of having sexual relations with a minor last year.
Victor Vele, 25, was arrested last May and charged with having sexual relations with a Peekskill minor, a class B felony, after the girl, who knew Vele, told her parents the man had raped her several times. He was arrested on May 13 at his Buchanan residence by Peekskill police according to Sgt. Ray Henderlong.
Vele pleaded guilty on Dec. 22 last year. In addition to the prison time he will also have a 29-year order of protection from the victim and 15 years of post-release supervision, according to a Westchester County Courts spokesperson.
