Lake Peekskill Man Attempts Yorktown Court Escape

Police report that on June 14, Eric Miller, 23, of Lake Peekskill attempted to escape the custody of court officers while at the Yorktown Justice Court.

 

Miller has been charged with assault in the second degree, a felony, escape in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and criminal contempt, which is also a misdemeanor. Police say that after he was sentenced a prison term, Miller fled the custody of the officers and while making an attempt to exit the building he struck a court officer in the face and caused physical injury.

 

Miller was remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail.
