The closures will be westbound in Kent and East Fishkill between Exit 17 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 16 (Taconic State Parkway), and eastbound between Exit 15 (Lime Kiln Road) and Exit 16 (Taconic State Parkway) on Monday, July 1 and Tuesday July 2, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.
Motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternate routes where possible, the New York State Department of Transportation said.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
