PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The public is invited to attend the swearing-in of Common Council members Sunday.
Incumbent Democratic City Mayor Mary Foster and Deputy Mayor Don Bennett will be sworn in for another term and newly elected council members Kathleen Talbot and Darren Rigger, also Democrats, will be sworn in for the first time.
Talbot and Rigger replace Democratic council members Joe Schuder and Patricia Riley, who did not seek re-election.
The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in the Common Council chambers on the second floor of Peekskill City Hall located at 841 Main St. and will be followed by a reception shortly afterwards in the neighborhood center's community room across the street.
