PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Margaret "Marge" Davis of Peekskill, died April 15. She was 80.
She was born Aug. 6, 1931 in Croton-on-Hudson to Sarah (Mancuso) and Frank Scozzafava. Davis retired from Croton Community Nursery School as a teacher. She was previously employed as a pediatric nurse in New York City.
Her love of young children followed her throughout her lifetime. Davis was known for being warm, patient and down-to-earth with a wry sense of humor. She had a passion for music, especially jazz and blues.
Davis is survived by her husband Martin, three sons, David, Daniel (Patricia) and Paul (Theresa); a daughter, Madelynn (Frank) Perillo; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Rose (Norman) Villeneuve and Anne (Joe) DeCrenza; a brother, Frank (Dorothy) Scozzafava; and many nieces and nephews. Davis was predeceased by a brother, Angelo (Vera) Scozzafava, and a nephew.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Croton-on-Hudson. A service will follow at the funeral home at noon with burial at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson immediately following.
