“Our mother was very important to us,” said Crystal Schwer, the foundation’s president and one of Mark’s daughters. “She is our inspiration and our driving force for the foundation, so it is only fitting that our first patient event will celebrate all of the moms out there and make a difference in someone’s life at the same time.”

Tickets are $35 and include a two-course brunch and a glass of champagne, a mimosa or bloody mary and one door prize raffle sponsored By Skinchanted Spa of Peekskill. The event will also feature multiple raffle prizes including a 50/50 raffle, floral arrangements from Forever Yours Flowers & Natures Window Flowers of Peekskill.

Tickets are limited and available now on the foundation website. Those who are unable to attend the event and would still like to contribute can go to www.KFMFoundation.org and click on donate now. Anyone interested in sponsoring the event or donating raffle items please call (914) 497-9308 for details. Augie’s Prime Cut is located at 3436 Lexington Ave. in Mohegan Lake.

The foundation was started by Mark's two eldest daughters in her memory to make a difference in the fight against cancer. The foundation has two goals: raise money for cancer research for areas most in need of funding and for patients in need due to the financial burden of medical treatment.
