Easter Arrives In Peekskill

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Christians throughout Westchester County ushered in the holiest day of their faith with both joyous and solemn celebrations of Easter.

On Saturday, several towns and businesses across the county held Easter egg hunts. At Hilltop Farms in Croton-on-Hudson, so many children attended the noon hunt that it caught organizers by surprise. Luckily, a second egg hunt was scheduled at the farm later in the day.

On Good Friday, Peekskill's Assumption Church was among the churches in the area to re-enact the Stations of the Cross, which recount the final hours of the life of Jesus Christ. The production took place in Depew Park and was attended by hundreds of spectators.
