Features Editor Jeanne Muchnick presented the framed document to Senior Mixologist Kacie McGuire who took time out from making brandied cherries. McGuire is constantly changing up the drink menu, adding her own spin to classics and reinventing new ones.
The presentation occurred in front of a piece of art that is a homage to Actor Jackie Gleason, who the restaurant is named after. According to Co-Owner John Sharp, Gleason lived nearby in the '50s and '60s and frequented the bar, then called Miller's. (Joe Namath was also a frequent visitor.)
Said Sharp of the award: "We live in an awesome County with awesome people and it's great to be recognized by an awesome community!"
