What's Happening in Peekskill This Week

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Here is a look at events in Peekskill this week:

Monday, March 26

  • The Field Library will host a Junior Critics Book Club meeting for teens starting at 4:30 p.m.
  • The Field Library will also host a Teacher in the Library session from 4 to 6 p.m. at which students can get help with homework.
  • A Committee of the Whole meeting will be held in the Paul Schwerman Conference Room at Peekskill City Hall starting at 6:30 p.m.
  • A Common Council meeting will be held in the upstairs Common Council Chambers starting at 7:30 immediately following the Committee of the Whole meeting.

Tuesday, March 27

  • The Field Library will host a Teacher in the Library session from 4 to 6 p.m. at which students can get help with homework.
  • The Peekskill City School District Board of Education will hold a special budget meeting at 7 p.m. at the administration building. The board is expected to meet in executive session starting at 5:30 p.m. before the public meeting starts.

Wednesday, March 28

  • The Peekskill Industrial Development Agency, Peekskill Facilities Development Corp. and Peekskill Local Development Corp. will hold a joint meeting in the Paul Schwerman Conference Room in Peekskill City Hall at 7 p.m.  
  • The Hendrick Hudson School District Board of Education will hold a meeting in conjunction with a student art show at Hendrick Hudson Free Library starting at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 29

  • The Field Library will host a Teacher in the Library session from 4 to 6 p.m. at which students can get help with homework. The library will also host a Tale Waggers story session starting at 4:30 p.m.
  • 12 Grapes will hold a free special rehearsal night performance by Steve Wexler & the Top Shelf starting at 8 p.m. The show kicks off the weekend-long 12 Grapes fourth anniversary celebration.
  • The Birdsall House hosts a performance by Jason Gisser starting at 10 p.m. Admission is free for patrons.
  • The Paramount Center for the Arts will host comedian and "America's Got Talent" star Howie Mandell at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 and $60 and are selling fast.
