"Call Mr. Robeson" is a journey through the ups and downs of the actor, singer and civil rights campaigner Paul Robeson's life. Robeson was a forerunner of the civil rights movement and subsequently summoned before the House Committee on Un-American Activities and blacklisted during the McCarthy era.
The play features Robeson's impassioned oratory style, the Peekskill Riots of 1949 and songs such as "Ol' Man River."
The production stars Tayo Aluko as Paul Robeson and features live piano accompaniment.
