Field Library Celebrates Poetry Month With Wednesday Poetry Readings

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Field Library is hosting events celebrating poetry month every Wednesday during April.

Andre Rainey will be one of the Field Library's featured poets.

Ron Egatz will appear on Wednesday, April 6. Egatz is a winner of the Glimmer Train Poetry award and the Greenburgh Poetry Award.

On April 13, the library will feature Andre "Noodle Noo" Rainey. Rainey is a youth advocate, city councilman, DJ, MC, song writer and motivational speaker. His YouTube channel has more than 50,000 views.

On April 20, Kahlil Koromandee will be at the library showcasing his published poetry and youth motivational books. The final event will be an open mic on Wednesday, April 27.

The Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Ave. in Peekskill.
