The Peekskill Brewery hosted its Hudson Hop and Harvest Festival Oct. 13 on Water Street along with local radio stations The Peak and WHUD. The event drew more than 3,000 people from across the Hudson Valley who stayed late into the night with live music, locally brewed beers and local food vendors.
New York breweries at the event included Captain Lawrence Brewing Co., Newburgh Brewing Co., Keegan Ales and Bronx Brewery. Food was offered by Bob-B-Q's of Shrub Oak, Peekskill’s Birdsall House, Murray’s of Tivoli and The Peekskill Coffee House, among others.
Music was supplied by 107.1 The Peak and 100.7 WHUD. In addition, several live musicians performed throughout the day into the night including Elle King, who recently appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman."
The event might have a little too successful, with visitors waiting in long lines at the beer tent for much of the night. Organizers promised next year’s event would be better organized.
The Peekskill Brewery also made news again this month when it moved out of its location across from the train station and into its new location on Water Street, just across the street from Homestyle Desserts.
