PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Peekskill pulled in several awards in Westchester Magazine's "Best of Westchester" issue that is now on sale.
The magazine's staff recognized brewmaster Jeff ONeill of The Peekskill Brewery at 55 Hudson Ave. as one of the top four additions to the Westchester beer scene.
"Lets just call it a game-changer: Ithaca Beer Companys much-touted brewmaster comes to Peekskill. This is a bit like Peyton Manning going to the Broncos," the magazine said of O'Neill.
The magazine also recognized Anthonys Nose, a 1,500-foot ascent, as the best hike in Westchester.
"The hike to the top of Anthonys Nose is a 6-mile, three-hour loop, but its worth every step," the magazine said. "Along the trail, you get an unparalleled view of the Hudson River, and, once you reach the summit, youll find a breathtaking vista overlooking the Bear Mountain Bridge."
