A Hudson Valley home was left uninhabitable after a two-alarm kitchen fire broke out at an area condo complex. First responders in Dutchess County responded to the Envoy Plaza Condo Complex on Beechwood Avenue in Poughkeepsie shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, where there was a report of a kitchen fire that broke out. One Dead In Hudson Valley Condominium Fire
One person died when a fire broke out in a second-floor Hudson Valley condo unit, officials announced. Crews from the Arlington Fire Department responded to the Greenbriar Condominiums on South Road (Route 9) in Poughkeepsie at approximately 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, where there was a report of smoke coming from underneath the sink of a unit. Whipping winds and frigid temperatures created tricky conditions for fire crews in the area who worked to battle an overnight two-alarm fire that tore through an area home and garage and claimed the life of a family dog.
