Blaze Breaks Out At Burger King On Route 119 In Elmsford Crews had to race to save a Home of the Whopper in Westchester after a fire broke out inside the fast food restaurant.  The incident happened on Saturday evening, Oct. 7 at a Burger King in Elmsford located at 265 East Main St. (Route 119), where crews were called to respond to a working fire, according to the Elmsford Fire Department.  According to the Valhalla Fire Department, the blaze was found to have started in the building's ductwork and was quickly extinguished.  Firefighters then climbed to the restaurant's roof to make sure the flames had not spread. Cars Go Up In Flames At School In Hudson Valley A raging blaze involving two cars sent firefighters on an early morning trip to a school in Northern Westchester.  The fire happened on Sunday, July 9 around 1:30 a.m., when members of the Valhalla Fire Department were sent to the EF Academy in Thornwood, where a vehicle had gone up in flames in the parking lot.  While on their way to the school, firefighters then learned that the blaze had spread to a second car.  Once they arrived at the scene, crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames and remove the vehicles from the area, the department reported.

3 Injured In 3-Vehicle Westchester Crash Involving Bus Three people were injured during a three-vehicle crash involving a city bus in Westchester County.  The accident occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 17, in Valhalla on Grasslands Road and the ramp from the Sprain Brook Parkway. Units arrived on the scene of the accident which also involved a bus and crews immediately assisted with patient care and packaging as well as taking care of a fluid spill, said Capt. Matt DiPrinzio of the Valhalla Fire Department Those injured were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, DiPrinzio added.
