New York Schools Must Warn Of E-Cigarette Dangers Under New Law With more than 40 percent of seniors and 27 percent of high school students using e-cigarettes and vaping, all New York schools are required to warn students of the dangers under a new executive order. On Thursday, Sept. 12, Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the bill which requires schools to include vaping as part of the Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Program, a current program aimed at cutting down on teen smoking rates.
