Investigation Underway After Stabbing Outside ShopRite In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man was arrested after allegedly stabbing a woman outside an area grocery store. Dutchess County resident Christian Young, age 27, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 8, when Town of Poughkeepsie Police responded to the Shop Rite store located at 18 Winslow Gate Road around 6:30 p.m. According to Lieutenant Shannon Rodriguez, of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police, when officers arrived at the store they found a 27-year-old woman in the cafe area who had been stabbed in the abdomen. Andrea Whitney, 36, is wanted following an investigation that determined she was part of a group who stole more than 150 cases of beer from several local Shop-Rite stores over the course of several months. Man Who Shoplifted From Shop Rite Caught With Heroin, Stony Point PD Says A 43-year-old man wanted for shoplifting from a local Shop Rite was nabbed with heroin when he was arrested.  Jason Rees of Haverstraw was arrested around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday when the Stony Point Police Department received a complaint from an employee of the Shop Rite of a larceny at the store, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. The employee was able to provide the license plate number of the car that fled following the theft and Rees was arrested at his residence with the stolen property, Hylas said.  In addition to the stolen property, police also found four decks of heroin, he added. Missing Ramsey Woman With Alzheimer's, 71, Found RAMSEY, N.J. -- A MISSING 71-year-old Ramsey woman with Alzheimer's who went missing from a local shopping center early Wednesday evening was found a couple of hours later, authorities said. An NJ State Police helicopter was en route when Selma Rowe was found in Finch Park. She'd been reported missing from the Interstate Shopping Center off southbound Route 17 and Franklin Turnpike -- which has a Shop-Rite, Bed Bath & Beyond and DSW, among other stores -- a couple of blocks from the park.

Man Gets 39-Year Sentence For Pair Of 'Terrifying' Orange County Burglaries A man convicted of a pair of violent armed robberies in the Hudson Valley has been sentenced to nearly four decades in prison after being found guilty by a jury. Geoffrey Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District, announced that Lawrence Brown, 46, has been sentenced to 39 years in state prison after committing two armed robberies using a handgun and binding his victims after the fact.
