18-Year-Old Killed By Hit-Run Driver In Route 303 Crash In Rockland This story has been updated. An 18-year-old Hudson Valley teen was killed by a hit-and-run driver who later turned himself in to police. Rockland County resident Dariel Rivera, of Central Nyack, was killed around 3:50 a.m., Friday, July 14, on Route 303 in West Nyack. According to Det. Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police, officers found Rivera after police received reports of a person lying in the roadway. Rivera, who was riding an electric scooter, which was found heavily damaged, had sustained severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, Peters said.  A witness who stayed …

Fatal Crash: Road Closure Alert In Rockland Police are on the scene of a fatal crash in the Hudson Valley that has closed a major roadway. The crash took place in Rockland County early Friday, July 14 on Route 303 in West Nyack. Clarkstown Police said the fatal crash has closed southbound lanes from Route 59 overpass near the transfer station to the town line. The department's accident investigation team is on the scene.
