Police are investigating after two people fell ill after opening a suspicious package. The incident took place in Rockland County around 11:20 p.m., Sunday, March 21. Suffern Police responded with the Suffern Fire Department and Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corps to Parkside Drive for a call of two residents experiencing dizziness after opening a suspicious package, said Suffern Police. One Hospitalized After Truck, Car Crash In Rockland
A driver was hospitalized after colliding with a truck in Rockland County. A person driving a car from New Jersey was struck by an Interstate Water Service truck at the intersection of Route 59 and Old Route 17 in the Village of Hillburn in the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 10, police said. The driver of the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Nyack Hospital by the Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corps for evaluation. Photos: Vehicle Overturns After Crashing Into House In Rockland
A speeding driver lost control of his Jeep, rolled over, and crashed into a Rockland County home. First responders were dispatched to Spook Rock Road in Montebello at approximately noon on Wednesday, Aug. 12, after a car came to a crashing halt into an area home. Police said that the driver, who was the only person in the car, did not sustain any injuries, though the house suffered damage as a result of the crash. Crews from the Tallman Volunteer Fire Department, Rockland Paramedic Services, and Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corps also responded to the scene to assist police following the crash.

Stranded Man Rescued Days After Fall From Bridge In Suffern
A man who fell from an old bridge and had been stuck in the water of Mahwah River in Suffern for several days was rescued and rushed to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. Suffern Police became aware of the stranded, injured a 47-year-old Montebello resident, after receiving information from a person who spotted the man in the area of Tilton Road, Suffern Police said. Overdose Victim Rescued In Rockland
Some fast-thinking first responders in Rockland County helped save the life of a woman suffering from a potentially fatal overdose. Officers from the Ramapo Police Department were dispatched to a home in Hillburn on Sunday, Aug. 18, where there was a call for a possible drug overdose. Upon arrival, officers found a woman who was unresponsive and without a pulse. One officer began CPR while the second administered Narcan to the woman. Some quick-acting police officers in Rockland County may have saved the life of a potential overdose victim in Airmont. Members of the Ramapo Police Department were dispatched to an Airmont home late on Labor Day, where there was a report of a male overdose victim.
