Man On Parole Takes Troopers On 120 MPH Pursuit A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly taking state police on a pursuit reaching speeds of more than 120 miles per hour. Orange County resident Michael L. Wright, of Wallkill, was arrested on Sunday, March 7, following a pursuit in the town of Wawarsing in Ulster County, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Ex-Con Caught Burglarizing Home On Security Footage, Police Say An ex-convict was sent back to jail after a local homeowner recognized him as the thief who stole $1,500 and a cell phone from his home after reviewing surveillance footage, police said.  The burglary was initially reported at a Sullivan County home on Ferndale Loomis Road in the town of Liberty on Thursday, Oct. 29, according to State Police in Liberty. The homeowner reportedly recognized the thief when he reviewed his surveillance footage. New York State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for a series of vehicle and traffic violations on Saturday, March 2 around 4 p.m. in Woodbury. During the interview with the driver, identified as 37-year-old Vikky Alcantar of Newburgh, officers established probable cause to conduct a search.
