Rohan Brijlall, 42, of the Bronx, pled guilty Monday, Sept. 9, for the crash that took place on Oct. 15, 2018, on Route 59 in Nanuet, said Acting Rockland County District Attorney Kevin Gilleece. Man Pleads Guilty In Nanuet Hit-Run That Left Three Seriously Injured An SUV driver who was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Route 59 in Nanuet - leaving three seriously injured - while he had drugs and alcohol in his system has pleaded guilty to his role in the crash. Rohan Brijlall, 42, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, a violent felony, the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office announced on Monday, Sept. 9 in connection to the crash on Oct. 15 last year. Serious Crash With Multiple Injuries Shuts Down Route 59 Stretch All eastbound lanes of Route 59 in Nanuet are closed due to a serious three-vehicle crash with multiple injuries, according to Clarkstown Police. The crash took place around 3:10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Route 59 and Old Nyack Turnpike in Nanuet, said Clarkstown Det. Peter Walker.  The closure is to Grandview Avenue, he added.
