Road Closures Scheduled During Rockland Railroad Crossing Work
There will be road closures for several days in Rockland County as railroad track repairs are performed by members of New Jersey Transit. Rockland County officials announced that beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, through Wednesday, Aug. 7, Convent Road will be closed between Grandview Avenue and Old Middletown Road and New Clarkstown Road will be closed between Spring Valley Marketplace and Overlook Boulevard in Nanuet. New Round Of Road Resurfacing Scheduled In Rockland
Motorists should expect delays as contracting crews get set to begin another road resurfacing project. The Rockland County Highway Department issued an alert on Wednesday advising that beginning at 7:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, roadwork will be performed along Grandview Avenue from Forshay Road to Route 306. There will also be resurfacing on North Middletown Road from Smith Road to West Clarkstown Road. Expect delays in Rockland near the New Jersey border for several days as contracting crews begin several road resurfacing projects in the area. Beginning on Thursday, April 26, the Rockland County Highway Department will have crews resurfacing three roadways, weather permitting, leading to lane closures and delays for drivers.
