House Fire Displaces Six In Rockland A family of six had to flee their village of Montebello home after it filled with flames and smoke early Thursday. The fire broke out around 9 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at the home located at 10 Collins Drive, said the Ramapo Police. All of the family members were able to safely evacuate without injuries, officials said. I-287 Fully Reopens After Gasoline Tanker Fire This story has been updated. I-287 is now fully reopened after a fire broke out on a gasoline tanker in White Plains. All lanes both ways were initially closed between Exit 9A (I-684) and Exit 9 (Hutchinson River Parkway) after the incident occurred just before 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, leading to the shutdown of the highway in both directions. Westbound lanes reopened after about an hour.
