Parents Charged In Region For Allegedly Not Paying Thousands In Child Support Sheriff's deputies in the region charged three people for allegedly failing to pay their child support. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the following individuals on Family Court warrants for child support violations: Melissa A. Lynch, age 36, of Swan Lake, was charged on Thursday, Feb. 15 for not paying $2,500 in child support. Man Charged With Making Threat Of Violence Against School District In Region A 37-year-old man from the region was charged with making an alleged threat against a school district in the region. Sullivan County resident Steven Kelly, of Narrowsburg, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 2 for allegedly making threats against the Sullivan West School District in Jeffersonville.  According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies received information shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, Kelly had made posts on social media expressing his dissatisfaction with the school district.  In his posts, he allegedly referred to a gun. 7 Nabbed In Raid On Drug Den In Region, Police Say Seven people were nabbed during a raid at an alleged well-known drug den in the region. The incident took place in Sullivan. County around 4:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 11 in the village of Monticello. 2 Found Dead Inside Home In Region Police are awaiting the results of autopsies after a man and a woman were found dead in a home in the region. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14 on DeBruce Road in Livingston Manor. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty of Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the home for a report of two dead people inside. Woman From Region Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash A woman from the region was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Christmas Eve. Sullivan County resident Lisa Kottl, age 31, of Bloomingburg, was killed around 7:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 24, after losing control of her vehicle. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, when deputies responded to the report of the crash on Route 17 in the town of Thompson, they found a 2007 Nissan Altima had hit a water diversion ditch next to the exit and rolled over.
