Man Caught With Defaced Handguns In Newburgh A Newburgh man was busted with two illegal handguns during a traffic stop by Orange County Sheriff's deputies. Tyrek Jones, 24, was arrested on Thursday following the stop on Benkard Avenue in Newburg, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta. While speaking with Jones, deputies noticed the smell of marijuana inside the vehicle. Jones admitted to having smoked in the vehicle recently. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of cocaine in the driver’s door. As deputies continued their search, they located two handguns in the trunk of the vehicle.
