It was Pearl River starter Emily Turilli who controlled the game, posting a one-hit shutout as the Pirates claimed a 2-0 victory. Turilli struck out six.

Turilli's command meant Jesse McCarthy's home run was all the team needed. Colleen McCoy went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, as the Pirates upped their record to 10-2.

Suffern's Gabby Caccomo took the loss, and Gina Leuzzi had the team's only hit, as the Mounties fell to 10-2.
