Two Face Drug Charges After Stop On Route 59 In Nyack

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Two people were arrested by Orangetown police Thursday on drug possession charges after a traffic stop on Route 59 in Nyack.

According to Orangetown police, Andrew Castletown, 23, of Orangeburg, and Ashley DeYoung, 32, of Garrison, were stopped for a traffic violation. When officers conducted a search, both were allegedly found with a quantity of a controlled substance and hypodermic needles.

Both were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possessing a hypodermic instrument. They were transported to the Orangetown Police Department, processed and released to appear in court early next year.
