Spring Valley Man Wanted For Theft Found In Nyack

NYACK, N. Y. -- A 21-year-old Spring Valley man is facing a false impersonation charge, in addition to outstanding larcency charges, after Orangetown police say he gave them a false identity when officers recognized him while investigating another matter in Nyack, police said.

Tyrell Anderson was released with a court appearance ticket for July 19 in Nyack Justice Court to answer the larceny and false impersonation charges. Both are misdemeanors, police said.

He was spotted by Orangetown police while a passenger in a car in Nyack, police said. As police investigated the unrelated matter, he gave them a false name and date of birth, police said.
